Can Mold Effect My Health?

Hundreds of species of mold are found in the United States that are not harmful to people. However, certain toxic molds such as penicillium, aspergillus,and toxic mold (also known as stachybotrus) can cause a variety of illnesses. Molds are usually not a problem indoors, unless mold spores end up land on a wet or damp area. Another suspect location for mold to grow is in the air conditioning unit(air handler) This is a perfect location for mold to grow due to the damp, dark enclosed area Molds have the potential to cause health problems.
